Wrexham picked up their first win of 2019 this weekend, as they put life back into their push for promotion this season.

The Dragons had suffered defeat in every game in 2019 so far, but finally turned their fortunes around with a 1-0 win against Maidstone United.

Beavon started the game and was brought off after 65 minutes, with Wrexham having taken the lead moments before.

It was a dissapointing afternoon for Callum Maycock and Macclesfield Town, as they let a 2-0 lead slip against Cheltenham Town.

The Silkmen lead 2-0 going into the break, but were also a man down which inevitably came back to cost them in the second half.

Callum played the full 90 minutes, as Macclesfield are currently two points from safety in League Two.

In the Scottish Premiership, Hamilton Academical had a difficult task as they travelled to Celtic in league action.

Tony Andreu started the game and played 70 minutes, but was unable to prevent Hamilton falling to a 3-0 defeat.

Elsewhere, in Non-League, Bouwe Bosma and Lewis Green both started and played the full 90 minutes for their respective clubs.

Salisbury lost 4-3 at home to Weymouth, whilst Coleshill Town suffered a 4-2 defeat away from home against Peterborough Sports.
