INTERVIEW: Mark Robins Looks Back On Plymouth Defeat

Robins reflects on disappointing day at Home Park...

19 January 2019

Mark Robins' Sky Blue side fell to defeat at Home Park despite their dominance throughout the afternoon.

The manager admits that the defeat is to take and feels that City should be coming away with the three points:

"It's tough to take - I have just said in the dressing room that we are a team that are nearly really good and I keep saying the same thing.

"We have to find it within ourselves because we created loads of chances. We need to keep doing the things that got us all of the chances in the game.

"Don't stop doing the things that were getting you the success in terms of possession and quality of the chances that we had.

"It is just really frustrating becauseI should be coming here saying that that was fantastic and it was a brilliant performance.

"It's sickening."

Despite coming away from Home Park with no points in the bag, Robins is aware that the performance produced by City was enough to earn the three points, but knows that his squad need to start being more clinical which was the difference this afternoon:

"I thought that there was a decent game of football being played and we were bossing it.

"They [Plymouth Argyle] may have got two or three or goals, but at the end of the day we should have got five or six - I'm not exaggerating.

"All of the chances that we had went begging and I think that they had four chances in the game and two of them went in the net."
