TEAM NEWS: Amadou Bakayoko Returns To Starting Eleven

The striker starts his first game of 2019...

Sky Blues striker, Amadou Bakayoko makes his first start of 2019 this afternoon, as City take on Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.

Bakayoko last started for City in the away trip to Walsall back at the start of December, but having recovered from injury, he starts this afternoon.

The striker is one of five changes from the side that faced Gillingham last week at the Ricoh Arena.

David Stockdale makes his debut, following his arrival from Birmingham City on an emergency loan yesterday.

Brandon Mason replaces Sam McCallum at left-back, who is out through illness, whilst Dujon Sterling, Jordan Willis and Dom Hyam make up the rest of the back four.

Liam Kelly returns to the side as captain and he partners Tom Bayliss, who also comes back into the side, as David Meyler missess out and Zain Westbrooke is amongst the substitutes.

Elsewhere, Luke Thomas, Bright Enobakhare and Jordy Hiuwla join Baka in attack against Rochdale.
