NEWS: Third Shirt back in stock wc 9th December

4 December 2019

Coventry City's hugely popular Third Shirt is back in stock week commencing 9th December!

The Third Shirt will be back in stock both online at ccfcstore.com and at the Club Shop at Arena Shopping Park.

There will be guaranteed delivery before Christmas for all UK orders that are placed on or before 18th December via ccfcstore.com.

The Third Kit was launched in October and commemorates the 40th anniversary of 2 Tone and the impact the music and movement had on society. It has proved hugely popular with both Coventry City fans and the wider public in Coventry and further afield - with music fans and supporters of other teams also purchasing the shirt too.

At a time when racial tensions existed in Britain, many 2 Tone bands featured a mix of black, white, and multiracial people.

The 2 Tone music movement originated in Coventry, fusing traditional ska and reggae with musical elements of punk rock and new wave music – and was made famous by bands including Coventry’s The Specials and The Selecter, plus Madness, The Beat, Bad Manners and others.

The black and white commemorative third kit brings together elements that made the 2 Tone movement famous to create another bespoke iconic design from Hummel – including the famous checkerboard style and the Nutty Dancer.

In recognition of the role of 2 Tone had in racial harmony, the logo of Kick It Out, the anti-racism and discrimination charity, features on the inside panel of the shirt and a donation will be made to them from the sales of the shirts.

The Third Kit shirt is priced £47 for Adults, £42 for Juniors. Shorts are £25 for Adults and £20 for Juniors. Socks are £10 for adults and juniors . Mini Kits are £40 – with shirts, shorts and socks included.
