Coventry City are pleased to announce the signing of 20-year-old midfielder Jordan Young.

Jordan, who has been on trial with the Sky Blues during the course of the summer, joins City on a one-year-deal.

Young was previously at League Two side Swindon Town, where he rose through the ranks, earning his first professional contract in 2017 aged 17.

The midfielder had previously made his debut for the Robins in 2016, the first of three appearances in the 2015/16, where he would also score his first football league goal in a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town.

Young made seven appearances for Swindon, before departing the club this summer and linking up with the Sky Blues for pre-season.

Following impressive performances in pre-season and for the under-23s, Young signs his first deal with City.

Speaking about the signing of Jordan Young, Sky Blues Under-23s coach, Luke Tisdale had this to say:

"We're delighted to finally announce Jordan after being with us since the start of pre-season.

"Jordan is someone that we've had on our radar for a while, we knew about him last season and he is a good player and a good person.

"He has played in a few games for us and he is someone who is technically very good, he can play in a variety of positions and that's something we will be looking at.

"Jordan has an eye for a pass and will value to the group and he has shown great attitude over the course of the summer and applied himself well."
