Following discussions between Coventry City and Birmingham City, we can confirm that Blocks 36 and 37 will not be available at St Andrew’s.
This is due to the Safety Advisory Group and the conditions of the Safety Certificate which Birmingham City, and in turn Coventry City, must adhere to in order to stage matches.
We apologise that Season Tickets were sold in this area incorrectly and apologise for the inconvenience caused to around 100 fans that this affects.
Fans affected have been e-mailed regarding this earlier this morning.
Those fans affected will be able to move their seat by contacting the Ticket Office – via email on email@example.com or by calling 02476992335. Alternatively, they can visit the Ticket Office at Butts Park Arena.
Fans affected will get a free ticket each to both of the Sky Blues Leasing.com Trophy matches at St Andrew’s:
Coventry City vs Walsall – Tuesday 3rd September 2019 - 7:45pm kick-off.
Coventry City vs Southampton Under-21s – Tuesday 5th November 2019 - 7.45pm kick-off.
This will be for their new Season Ticket seat.
Fans who do not wish to move seat but wish to receive a refund instead, are also asked to contact the Ticket Office.
Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said: “We would like to apologise to those supporters affected by this.
“This issue only became apparent on Saturday at the game, and we have worked with Birmingham City to resolve this as best as we can since then.
“While we tried to keep fans in Blocks 36 and 37, unfortunately despite our best efforts this cannot be done, bearing in mind the safety requirements that are in force and that we must adhere to.
“Fans have the option to move, and we will accommodate them as close to their chosen blocks as possible. They helped create a fantastic atmosphere on Saturday, and we want to thank them for that and maintain that going forward.
“We will also provide a free ticket to each of our scheduled Leasing.com trophy matches at St Andrew’s to all those supporters affected by this.”
