Sky Blues duo, Corey Addai and Jordan Ponticelli made their debuts for their respective clubs this past weekend.
City 'keeper, Addai joined AFC Telford United on loan in the National League North and they got their season underway against Kettering Town away from home.
Telford took the lead, but after an equaliser midway through the game, an 88th minute winner for Kettering made it a debut to forget for the 'keeper.
Elsewhere, Jordan Ponticelli was in the starting line-up for Tranmere Rovers first game back in League One, following their play-off promotion.
After traiing at the break, Ponticelli was replaced at half-time in a double substitution, but Rovers still went on to lost 3-2 at Prenton Park against Rochdale.
Finally, defender Jordon Thompson was an unused substitute in Boreham Wood's opening day defeat to Torquay United.
