David Bremang is “buzzing” to have signed a new contract with the Sky Blues after agreeing new terms until 2021.

Bremang top scored for the club’s Under-23s side last season and wants to kick on after committing his future to the club.

Bremang said: “I’m buzzing to be honest. It’s something that I’ve been working hard for so hopefully I can kick on from here.”

It was the striker’s first season in a professional club football last season, after arriving at the Sky Blues last year from London’s Conquest Academy.

David believes his new contract shows that his hard work is paying off, after helping the U23’s reach the Professional Development League semi-finals last term.

“The hard work has paid off, I’ve put everything in, to win this new contract. Now I’ve got this contract, I just have to continue working hard.”

Despite making a slow start to life in his new surroundings, Bremang is now enjoying his time with City.

“Obviously, I got off to a slow start, but once I got a few goals, I started enjoying my time here and enjoying my football.”

He also gave credit to U23 coaches Jason Farndon and Luke Tisdale for helping him to improve as a player last season.

“I think, I’ve improved a lot as a player over the last year and that’s down to Jas and Luke helping me with extra sessions.

“I’ve learnt a lot of things because it was a big step up for me and the first few weeks, I thought would be a tough test, but once I got used to everything, it was fine.”

Bremang is keen to break into the Sky Blues first-team this season, having been on the bench against Luton Town last season.

He hopes to catch first-team manager Mark Robins eye and is hopeful of making his Sky Blues debut during the 2019/20 campaign.

“I’m just going to see what happens to be honest. Hopefully, I can get a few appearances for the first-team.”
