A thrilling draw at Fratton Park saw the Sky Blues fight back from 3-1 down to earn a point against Portsmouth and continue their unbeaten start.
City took the lead early on through Jordy Hiwula, but goals from Ronan Curtis and John Marquis gave Pompey the lead heading into the break.
That lead was extended ten minutes into the second half when captain Gareth Evans slotted the ball past Marko Marosi.
After being reduced to ten men with the sending off of Fankaty Dabo, City continued to look to get back into the game and they got a goal back from the penalty spot through Matty Godden.
However, when Gervane Kastaneer was sent off and City were reduced to nine men, the game looked out of reach, that was until Michael Rose equalised late on for the Sky Blues.
