City come out on top in thriller at Stadium of Light...

The Sky Blues overcome Sunderland in a nine-goal thriller at the Stadium of Light this past weekend.

City got off to the perfect start when Bright Enobakhare found the back of the net after just 12 minutes, before George Honeyman equalised a few minutes later.

However, City scored twice without reply when Amadou Bakayoko and Jordy Hiwula made it 3-1 to the Sky Blues.

Although just before half-time, Sunderland would draw level with goals from strikers Charlie Wyke and Will Grigg.

After the re-start, the goals continued to come and this time it was Jordan Shipley, with arguably the pick of the bunch after 55 minutes.

Sunderland found an equaliser again through Max Power, but it woild be the Sky Blues who would deal the final blow.

Conor Chaplin came off the bench and scored within three minutes, finding the Sky Blues fifth and ultimately the winner.
