The striker looks ahead to the weekend's clash..

The Sky Blues visit the Kassam Stadium for the second time this season on Sunday afternoon.

Mark Robins’ side will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Rochdale at the Ricoh Arena.

City’s new signing, Conor Chaplin, was brought into the action by Mark Robins in the 56th minute and has recently commented on how he wants to help the team hit goal-scoring form.

“The hardest thing to do in football is to put the ball in the back of the net and that’s what we’re missing at the moment.

“But that’s something we’re looking to build on, and I feel that as soon as that comes it will start clicking into place very quickly.

“There is a lot of confidence in the group with the performances, as soon as the goals start coming in and the lads take their chances the results will come.

“Any striker that comes into the club wants to score goals but from watching on the bench at the weekend we created so many chances that need to be taken.

“I thought we were brilliant.”

Chaplin was utilised in a number 10 role rather than in a striking position and is happy to play wherever Mark Robins positions him.

He said: “Wherever the Gaffer wants to play me it’s fine by me, I’m comfortable in either position.

“I’d like to think I’m quite flexible, it’s important to be able to play in a number 10 role as well as a number 9.

“I just want to play as many games as possible and enjoy my football.

“Ultimately, I want to get better, and I want to learn.”
