CONTRACT: Tom Bayliss Signs New Four-Year Deal

We are delighted to confirm that midfielder Tom Bayliss has agreed a new four-year deal with the Sky Blues.

The 19 year-old has committed his future to Coventry City, following his breakthrough year last season where he helped City win promotion back into League One.

Last season, at 18 years of age, Tom made his debut in a Checkatrade Trophy match against West Bromwich Albion Under-21s at the Ricoh Arena.

Following on from that, he would make his first start against Cheltenham Town back in December and the midfielder scored within minutes of kick-off.

Bayliss would then keep his place in the starting eleven for the remainder of the season, scoring six goals in 32 appearances during the 2017/18 season, which ended with victory at Wembley in the League Two Play-Off Final.

Tom was then rewarded for his performances this past summer, when he was called up to the England Under-19 side for the European Championships in Finland.

The midfielder won two international caps during his time with his country, before returning to the City side for the start of the 2018/19 season.
