The Sky Blues were knocked out of the Birmingham Senior Cup on penalties last night against Stratford Town.
Jason Farndon’s Under-23s side represented City in the competition, but they were unable to get past Stratford, who won the shoot-out 3-1.
Neither side were able to break the deadlock in the 90 minutes, with both defences called into action during the game, impressing throughout.
As the game went to spot-kicks, it was Stratford who came out winners, as they converted three out of four penalties, with the Sky Blues scoring one.
Claudio Dias, Jazz Luckie and Josh Cooke scored for Town and it was Chris Camwell who scored the only penalty for the Sky Blues.
The under-23s will now look to bounce back next time out against Colchester United at the Ricoh Arena on Monday 15th October.
