NEWS: Coventry City welcome Zoë’s Place to our game this Friday night

Staff and Families at the game on Friday, plus fundraising activities...

21 November 2018

Look Out for Zoe’s Place Branded Bus at the Peterborough game this Friday, as Coventry City and Sky Blues in the Community welcome staff and families to the match at the Ricoh Arena.

Zoë’s Place Trust is a registered Charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. The staff at Zoë’s Place provide care and support 24hrs a day for both the child and family.

For all attending Friday night’s game – please give Zoë’s Place staff and families a warm welcome. You will notice around the stadium there will be donation buckets and contestants from this year’s Strictly Christmas fundraising event. Please give generously – the vast majority of the funding for Zoe’s Place comes from donations and charitable support.

Zoë’s Place offers parents and carers a chance to recharge their batteries or to spend time with their other children. The value of this respite care cannot be underestimated, and many families say that they simply would not be able to cope without the help and support of the Zoe’s Place team.

The Hospice is designed to be a `home away from home’ in which the children feel comfortable and are able to get the most out of the very special facilities.  Alongside the care that is offered to the children they also support the whole family through their parent support network and the sibling groups.

David Busst, Head of Community said: “It is an honor to welcome the staff and families from Zoe’s Place Trust in Coventry to the Peterborough Game. Our partnership with Coventry City FC allows us to be able to provide opportunities and experiences like this to people who truly deserve it the most.

"Just being able to bring a small sense of normality to families and staff members who work around the clock to support children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions is truly heart-warming and something I will always treasure”.
