Sky Blues striker, Jordy Hiwula is looking to continue his goal scoring form this weekend, as City take on Accrington Stanley at the Ricoh Arena.

Jordy has scored three goals in his last three games, as well scoring four in the last five in all competitions.

The 24 year-old has also started the last five games in all competitions and is relishing his opportunity in the starting eleven.

He said: “At the moment I feel like I am doing well, as is the team and we have won five games on the bounce.

“I just thought at the start of the season I was getting into right positions but wasn’t scoring goals, but now it seems like goals are coming so I just need to keep doing what I am doing, just keep getting into right positions then hopefully more goals will come.

“I am enjoying it so far you know, there was a point when I wasn’t getting in the team and I told myself to carry on working hard and once my time comes I need to take it with my

“I was disappointed at that time when I wasn’t playing, but I knew that my time will come and when my time comes I have got to take it.

“So I kept working hard on the training pitch and showed the manager what I can do and luckily I am back in the team now.”

The Sky Blues take on Accrington tomorrow, looking to extend their run of winning the last five games in League One.

Jordy admitted confidence is high in the side at the moment and he is hopeful of coming away with a positive result against John Coleman’s side.

He said: “It is a good run for the team and it just shows that the team is playing well and scoring goals.

“It’s good for the whole team and also for the players who are coming off the bench to give something to the game and everyone is fighting for their place.

“When you are on good run things tend to work out for you, late goals and things like that, so we just need to keep on going, keep believing to see how far it takes us.

“Accrington are a good side, they have got some good results this season and they are doing well in the league as well so we know it’s going to be a tough game.

“We just need to carry on doing what we have been doing and hopefully come away with something from the game.”
