The Goalkeeper has agreed a new one year-deal...

9 May 2018

We are pleased to announce that Goalkeeper Corey Addai has put pen to paper on a new deal at Coventry City Football Club.

Addai has agreed a one year extension, with the option of a further year, taking his contract to June 2019 and potentially June 2020.

Corey joined the club back in 2014 from Premier League side Arsenal, stating the influence of Goalkeeper Coach Steve Ogrizovic as a major reason why he signed.

This season the 20 year-old has had loan spells with Hendon FC and Dulwich Hamlet to continue his development and exposure to first team football.

He made five appearances for Hendon during a one month loand and 8 appearances for Dulwich Hamlet during the same period.

Whilst at the Hamlet, Corey remarkably scored a 94th minute winner against Brentwood Town in the quarter-final of the Velocity Trophy.

Elsewhere, Addai has regularly featured for Jason Farndon's Sky Blues Under 23 Development side.

The 'keeper will now look to push on heading into the 2018/19 season and continue to progress here at Coventry City.
