The Sky Blues came away from the final game of the season with a 0-0 draw against Morecambe at the Ricoh Arena.
A point for City ensured their place in the play-offs and also saw Morecambe earn survival from relegation on the final day of the season.
It was also the club's annual Legends Day, which saw 50 former players in attendance to celebrate the club's rich history.
City will now look forward to playing Notts County over two legs, with the first of those legs at the Ricoh Arena this Saturday night.
