Coventry City have signed midfielder Carl Baker on short-term deal until the end of the season.
Baker, who was most recently with Indian side ATK, will be eligible to play in Saturday’s SkyBet League Two fixture against Barnet at the Ricoh Arena, subject to EFL registration and international clearance.
Carl is no stranger to Sky Blues fans having played for the club from 2010 to 2014. He played 182 games and scored 28 goals, and proved a fans favourite for his attitude and committed performances in his first stint.
Manager Mark Robins, who worked with Baker in his previous spell, said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Carl back to the club and delighted that he has regained general fitness and has shown through training with the first team that he can be an asset to us from now to the end of the season.
“He has shown and expressed a desire to return to Coventry City Football Club and help us achieve our season goals.
“It will be great for both parties as he is both a tremendous person and a great player to have around the club and a firm favourite amongst the supporters.”
