It was a disappointing afternoon for the Sky Blues in Professional Development League South action, as they fell to a 6-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic U23s.
It was a youthful Sky Blue side that travelled to the Valley with just two of the starting eleven having featured for the First Team so far in their career and four youth players making up the team.
Jason Farndon's side fell behind after 24 minutes when Yamfam scored for the Addicks when he headed home from a Dijksteel cross.
However, City were back in the game 10 minutes later, as a trialist was brought down in the area and the referee pointed to the spot.
Chris Camwell stepped up to take the spotkick and he slotted it into the bottom corner to draw the scores level.
Althought, the scores weren't level for long and the hosts were back in front two minutes later and this time it was Albie Morgan who cut inside form the left and curled one into the top corner.
Then, five minutes later Morgan had his second of the game and made it 3-1 to the Addicks heading into the break.
However, there was still time for City youngster and captain for the afternoon, Lewis Green to be shown a second yellow card and be sent off before the break.
Four minutes into the second 45 minutes and it was Charlton who were awared a penalty, as Naylor was adjudged to have brought down Umerah and he then stepped up to take the penalty and fired past the City 'keeper.
It was then 5-1 a few minutes later, Maloney was the next scorer for the hosts as he was teed up by Morgan and stroked it past Naylor.
With 15 minutes left on the clock, Anderson made it 6-1 for Charlton as he headed home from close range and that proved to be the last bit of action in the game.
