COMMUNITY: SBitC and Warwick District Council launch Warwick Multi-Sports Camps

Camps taking place during the Easter Holiday...

22 March 2018

Sky Blues in the Community and Warwick District Council have launched new Warwick Multi-Sports Camps.

During the recent February half-term, the Sky Blues in the Community (SBitC) team delivered a series of Multi-Sports Camps to Primary School children in Key Stages 1 and 2 at Warwick Gates Community Centre.

The camp was kindly supported by funding Warwick District Council who will continue to work in partnership with Sky Blues in the Community to support provision across Warwick for the remaining school holidays in 2018, with the next camps during Easter at 2 local Warwick venues.

Children played a variety of sports across the 4 day camp which gave them opportunities to improve, enjoy and compete against others in sports such as; football, dodgeball, basketball, athletics and many more.  Camps were targeted at local children aged 5-11 and all children who attended received a SBitC medal and ticket voucher for a home league game this season.

Sky Blues in the Community’s Premier League Sport Manager, Neil Kelly, said:It’s great to be working with Warwick District Council who are helping to fund our delivery for children in Warwick.  The feedback from our first camp was really positive and the children were able to experience lots of different sports from qualified coaches.  We’re targeting more children at our 2 camps in Easter!”
