Coventry City Football Club have agreed personal terms with Junior Brown to sign for the Sky Blues!

The 29-year-old defender will complete the transfer to the club on 1st July, 2018, upon the expiry of his contract with current club Shrewsbury Town.

Brown has agreed a two-year contract with the Sky Blues, having turned down The Shrews’ offer of an extended stay at The New Meadow.

The left back started his career at home town club Crewe Alexandra, and has gone on to represent Fleetwood Town, Oxford United and Mansfield Town.

Brown joined Shrewsbury in June 2015, and quickly established himself as first-choice left back. Making 108 appearances and scoring 7 goals, only injury at the start of the 2017-18 campaign restricted the fans favourite adding to his impressive total.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“I am very pleased to bring Junior to the club and that he has chosen to accept our offer, having also had other options on the table too.

“He is a player with much experience at this level and is strong both defensively and in attack too. We look forward to him joining us in July and adding further quality to our squad.”
