Striker signs a two-year deal with the Sky Blues...

Coventry City Football Club are pleased to announce that they have agreed to sign Striker Jonson Clarke-Harris.

The Striker will officially join the Sky Blues upon the expiry of his contract with Rotherham United on 1st July 2018.

The 23-year-old joined the club on loan in January from Rotherham, netting 4 times as the Sky Blues secured promotion back to League One and now the move has become a permanent one, with the Striker signing a two-year contract.

Clarke-Harris is a familiar face to Sky Blues fans, coming through the CCFC Academy, and is still the youngest ever Coventry City player – at the age of 16 years and 21 days.

A prolific goalscorer at Under 18 level for the Sky Blues, Clarke-Harris then moved on to Peterborough, Southend (Loan), Bury (Loan) and Oldham, before joining Rotherham in 2014 – from where he also enjoyed loan spells at MK Dons, Doncaster and the Sky Blues.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“We’re very pleased to agree to sign Jonson on a permanent basis.

“Jonson was an important part of the squad that won promotion last season, and showed the attributes we know he has during his loan spell with us.

“He brings a strength and physicality to our play which will be important assets for us, as well as his goalscoring threat, and we hope he will have a big impact in League One.”
