NEWS: Steve Taylor leaves Coventry City

3 June 2018

Coventry City can confirm that Assistant Manager Steve Taylor has left the Football Club.

Steve has been absent from the role since August due to health issues, and leaves the Club to focus on his recovery.

Taylor joined the Club for a second spell in March 2017 alongside Mark Robins, and was the Manager’s guest for the Play-Off Final win at Wembley.

Steve Taylor said:

“I’m gutted to be leaving as I love the club, but I have to concentrate on my recuperation and making a full recovery, and I am still receiving on-going treatment.

“I was at Wembley on Monday and will always take a keen interest and wish the club and its fantastic supporters all the best for the future.”

Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said:

“On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank Steve for the contributions that he made in both spells and particularly when he came back with Mark last March and helped to make an immediate impact, which saw us win the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley and help re-build and re-shape the squad for this season.

“We wish him a speedy return to full health and all the best for the future.”
