18 July 2018

Coventry City are pleased to inform fans that following positive discussions between the Club, Police and the Ricoh Arena, that we have been able to relax restrictions on ticket and season ticket sales in Blocks 14, 15 and 16.

Following the discussions, the Club is now able to confirm the following:

  • The Club will be allowed to continue to sell Season Tickets in Blocks 14, 15 and 16.

  • The Club will be allowed to sell additional match tickets for Blocks 14, 15 and 16 to Season Ticket holders in person (up to 4 per person) either in advance at the Butts Park Arena Ticket Office or the Matchday Ticket Office at the Ricoh Arena.
This is in person only - this will not be possible online or over the phone.

  • The Club will be allowed to allocate tickets to Match Package holders in Blocks 14, 15 and 16. Match Package holders must redeem their tickets either in advance at the Butts Park Arena Ticket Office or the Matchday Ticket Office at the Ricoh Arena.
This is in person only - this will not be possible online or over the phone.

There will still be no match-by-match tickets available in Blocks 14, 15, 16 apart from as stated above.

Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said:

“We are pleased that, following positive and co-operative discussions with the Police and the Ricoh Arena, we have been able to relax some of the restrictions in Blocks 14, 15 and 16.

“I would like to thank both the Police and Ricoh Arena for this.

“Many supporters came to us with valid and passionate thoughts and opinions, and we are grateful to them for doing that.

“However, the reasons put forward by the Police in the Safety Advisory Group are still valid and supporters still need to be mindful that safety is paramount.

“The Safety Ground Sports Authority considers the safety risk of standing in seated areas to be significant, and we must take this seriously.

“There will be increased stewarding and increased ticket checks in these areas, and we would ask that all supporters in the stadium sit in the seat that they have purchased a ticket for and adhere to stewarding requests.

“These changes will be monitored during the opening months of the season and reviewed at the end of September.”
