NEWS: Coventry City announce EST as new official travel partner!

20 July 2018

Coventry City are pleased to announce Event Support Team (EST) as the club’s new official travel partner.

The Coventry company will provide matchday supporters coach travel for all Coventry City away games as part of the new agreement, starting with the Sky Blues' first away game of the season at AFC Wimbledon on 11th August.

Event Support Team provides support services for the event industry, specialising in providing Traffic Management, Security and Stewarding, Parking, Cash collection and Advance ticket sales for events.

The company has worked with the Ricoh Arena since it opened in 2005, as well as on major events such as the 2012 Olympics and the 2015 Rugby World Cup and worked with the club on transport arrangements for the League 2 Play-Off Final.

Sarah-Jane Evans, of EST, said: “We are delighted to be named as the official travel partner for CCFC. As a local Coventry based family run business, and a CCFC supporter myself, this is very exciting for all of us.

“We have an online pre-booking system in place which a large number of supporters are already familiar with having used it when booking official off-site parking for home matches, and more recently the Wembley travel.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave Boddy and the team at the Club for naming us as their travel partner for the upcoming season, and we wish them every success.”

Dave Boddy, Chief Executive at Coventry City, said: “We are very pleased to announce Event Support Team as our official travel partner.

“Having worked with the club previously, we know their professionalism and the great service which they will provide to our supporters who travel up and down the county in support of the team.

“Their status as official travel partner is recognition of the investment that they are making in the club as we look to increase the transport options and standards available to supporters.”

With EST running coaches to away games, the Sky Blues will no longer be using Harry Shaw coaches for supporters away travel.

Dave Boddy said: “I would like to place on record our thanks as a club to Harry Shaw, who have loyally provided supporters coach travel to the club for a long period of time and we have enjoyed a very good relationship with them.

“However with the club opting for an Official Travel Partner rather than hiring a coach on a commercial basis game by game, working with EST proved a better option for the club going forward and we look forward to developing this relationship further.

“Harry Shaw will continue to provide coach travel for the squad to away matches, as they have done since the late 1970s.”

Coach travel for away games will be available to book shortly at ricoharenaparking.co.uk
