Women are ‘In It Together’ for 2018 – Are you joining in?
Funded by Sport England and delivered by Sky Blues in the Community, the ‘In it Together’ project supports females in Coventry to get active through a variety of sessions.
These sessions give women an opportunity to try out a range of fitness and sporting activities on a weekly basis.
In line with the national “This Girl Can” campaign, the sessions are about celebrating active women and provide female-only activities for local women to have fun and socialise whilst getting active together.
The project has seen a number of different activities take place including Running, DDMIX, Netball, Yoga, Soccercise and many more!
DDMIX launching in January 2018!
Sky Blues in the Community are delighted to be bringing DDMIX to ‘In It Together’ in January 2018. DDMIX is a new, entertaining full body aerobic workout choreographed by Dame Darcey Bussell, of Saturday-night sensation Strictly Come Dancing.
DDMIX combines dance genres from across the world, such as Line Dance, Charleston, Samba, and Bollywood, into a fun, full body workout that removes the technicality of dance but without losing its appeal. Using segments of a range of dance styles each session is interesting, different, and will bring a smile to your face. You might even forget you are exercising in the process!
