Life-long Sky Blues supporter Richard Overson has continued his support of Coventry City and the Academy.
Overson has helped out the City Academy by sponsoring them in order to help fund the purchase of a new minibus for their travels up and down the country.
The Academy had two buses to help get the stars of the future around, but with time playing its toll, one of those was coming to its end.
Local businessman Richard Overson then stepped in and showed his support for the Academy by assisting with the purchase of a new bus.
Richard Overson had this to say:
“I am delighted to continue to support the football club and the academy especially given that many of these academy players will become future 1st team players.
“I saw this as the perfect opportunity to assist the academy with the continued development of young talented players many of which are from Coventry and Warwickshire”.
Sky Blues Academy Manager, Richard Stevens was delighted with the support from Richard Overson and showed his gratitude for the contribution he had made in helping the Academy.
Stevens said: “We are very grateful of the continued support of Richard Overson.
“We have two buses and one of them was coming to an end of its use and Richard wanted to help out by sponsoring the academy to enable us to acquire a brand-new minibus which will last us for a number of seasons”
