Sky Blues striker Marc McNulty has been named the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month for January.
McNulty was nominated for the award Tuesday morning and was able to fend off the competition to cap off a fine month for the striker.
Marc scored four goals in four league games during January, including decisive goals against Chesterfield and Swindon, as well as a final goal of the month against Cambridge United.
Sparky now has 10 goals in his last 11 games and following his reveal as the League Two Player of the Month, the striker had this to say:
McNulty said: “It’s the first time I’ve picked up one of these awards so it’s very pleasing to receive it.
“I went on a little run in December, and as a striker you take a lot of confidence from scoring goals and it’s just gone from one week to another.
“I think the boys have just been a little bit inconsistent this season, we know that ourselves but there’s still a lot to play for, there’s still a lot of games and we’re positive that come the end of the season we’ll do well.”
