The Sky Blues were defeated last night 2-1 by Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

A Ogedi-Uzokwe penalty for Colchester opened the scoring in the first-half, after Rod McDonald was adjudged to have held the Colchester striker in the area.

Tom Bayliss pulled Coventry City level after 56 minutes, but the Sky Blues had a share of the points snatched from them at the death when Mikael Mandron headed home for the hosts.

The result brings Colchester levels on points with Mark Robins side, who now occupy 9th place in the table - ahead of the U's on goal difference - and are three points outside the play-off places.

The Sky Blues have a break from league action on Saturday, facing Brighton & Hove Albion in the Emirates FA Cup, before the next League Two encounter at Mansfield Town on 24th February.
