We are delighted to confirm that Sam McCallum has joined the Sky Blues on a three-year deal and will initially be based with the Under-23s.
The 17 year-old will link-up with Under-23s coach Jason Farndon, as City continue to add to the development squad.
McCallum is predominately a left-back and was recently at Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy alongside fellow Sky Blues defender, Morgan Williams.
Sam spent last season with Herne Bay Football Club and was also part of the England Schools’s Under-18s at the start of the year.
Following the signing of McCallum, Sky Blues Under-23s coach, Jason Farndon had this to say:
"At the start of the season we highlighted the fullback area as an option we needed to strenghthen and we are delighted to have brought in Sam.
"He was at the V9 Academy a few weeks back and he did well there and we are happy to have signed him to a three-year deal.
"Sam is an atheltic left-back and he’s an exciting project for us who we’re really going to push and help with his development.
"He is still only 17 and is eligible to play for the under-18s as well."
