Sky Blues latest addition admitted he can’t wait to get started after putting pen to paper on a two year-deal.

Jordy Hiwula made the move from Premier League side Huddersfield Town, after spending three years with the Yorkshire side.

After completing his move, the 23 year-old spoke with the Sky Blues Boss, Mark Robins and said it made him want to join Coventry City.

“It feels really good to get the deal all done, we got it done pretty quick.

“As soon as I heard of the interest I wanted to get down here as quick as possible and get to know everyone and get settled right away.

“I spoke to the manager before I signed, and everything was really positive and it made me feel like I could come here and show what I can do.

“I’m looking forward to the competition with the other strikers.

“Everywhere I’ve been I’ve had that competition and it’s good to have that and it keeps everyone on their toes.”

Jordy has spent the last three seasons in League One with the likes of Wigan Athletic, Bradford City and Fleetwood Town.

He has now set the aim of breaking into the starting eleven and helping the Sky Blues compete next season in League One.

“I want to first of all get in the team and then once I’m in the team I want to stay there.

“I think we have got a big season ahead and we need to compete in this league and I don’t see why we can’t do that.

“I’ve played for some good teams in League One before and I think we have to be hard to break down and everyone needs to pull through and try and do as well as we can.

“From me the fans can expect hard work and dedication, I will give my all every time I go out on the pitch.”
