Last week, Sky Blues in the Community got involved in Coventry Sports Week, taking over Broadgate Square all day on Thursday!
Coventry Sports Week 2018 saw the city centre transformed with a variety of activities, events and displays to encourage all local people to take part in sport and physical activities.
With Coventry being awarded European City of Sport for 2019, it was bound to be a Sports Week to remember with a huge turn out from the local community.
Sky Blues in the Community packed up and headed to Broadgate on Thursday 16th August to join in the Sports Week fun by putting on a variety of activites for the public to enjoy.
Activities included: the speed shot challenge, smoothie bikes, inflatable 5-aside pitch and the Play Off Final Trophy also made an appearance for the community to enjoy.
We were also joined by the volunteers from the Family Zone, who entertained the young children with arts and crafts activities throughout the day.
The children loved meeting Sky Blue Sam and had fun watching him make his own smoothie and have a go at the speed shot challenge.
Sky Blues in the Community would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in Coventry Sports Week and most importantly ENV events for allowing us to be a part of the sporting celebration.
We hope this is the start of a bright sporting future for the City, and we would like to play a key role in delivering this success.
