The Sky Blues were unable to make it three consecutive wins, as they fell to defeat against play-off rivals Lincoln City at the Ricoh Arena.
Matt Rhead opened the scoring in the first minute, but Tom Bayliss was able to equalise just fifteen minutes later.
Oliver Palmer then restored the Imps lead before they were pegged back again through Jordan Shipley.
However, two goals either side of half-time by the visitors ensured it would be them that went away with the three points.
The Sky Blues remain in the play-off positions in 7th place and three points ahead of Mansfield in 8th, ahead of Saturday's sold-out away game against Cheltenham Town.
