The 19-year staged a comeback to defeat early runaway leader Tony Andreu, with his strike in the Checkatrade Trophy against Shrewsbury Town placing second.
The two were tied on 35% of the votes after the poll, with Jodi clinching it in the tightest of fashions.
Jones' hat trick clinching goal had to settle for third place, whilst Jack Grimmer's headed effort away at Grimsby Town brought up the rear.
