The Sky Blues have made it back-to-back wins after a 2-0 win over Carlisle United in SkyBet League Two...
Mark Robins' side took the lead through Duckens Nazon just two minutes after the interval before Peter Vincenti grabbed his first goal for Coventry with just ten minutes to go.
"We spoke at half time and this division looks like it is going to be slow to get going every game," said Robins.
"You have to win battles before you can play Football.
"I still think there was some decent football played at time. Some of the chances we created were good.
"Bare in mind, they were a side in the play-offs this season and they have strengthened again over the summer. It is a really good three points for us and decent period of three games.
"The second half was far better. We have ended up with lots of shots and gal and two great goals that were both great finishes."
Nazon came in for the injured Tony Andreu and it was his driving run through the heart of the Carlisle defence that found the breakthrough.
"It is great that he stretched the defenders like he did, but the ball from Liam Kelly was fantastic. It was absolutely outstanding.
"The run was good. The ball was great. The finish was superb.
"We lost two players on Saturday and we had a really young bench so this result is something to be excited about.
"Vincenti has been frustrated with himself lately. He is a great player and he is different to anything in the division. He is so difficult to play against. I think he is just finding his feet at the club."
He added: "We were really good value for a win. Carlisle are a decent team. This is a great result."
