COMMUNITY: SBiTC welcome Coventry City Girls to Saturday's game against Crewe

28 September 2017

Coventry City and Sky Blues in the Community will welcome their partner club Coventry City Girls FC to Saturday’s game against Crewe, with around 150 players, staff and officials at the Ricoh Arena...

This month marks two years since the partnership between the three organisations was officially launched, and has seen them work closely together on a number of initiatives.

Coventry City Girls FC are an FA charter standard club who were founded in 1995 and now have expanded to ten teams ranging from Under-9 to Under-18 who play in the Coventry & Warwickshire league, and also an adult first-team who play in the West Midlands League.

Saturday will see our partnership continue, as Coventry City Girls are welcomed to the Ricoh Arena for a bucket collection prior to the game to help raise money for the CCGFC’s chosen charity the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Players and parents from Coventry City Girls FC will be outside the Ricoh Arena from 1:30pm up until kick-off and all donations are welcome. Players and officials from the club will also be parading the pitch at half-time, and acting as pre-match flag bearers too

You can see more about CCGFC on their website www.covcitygirlsfc.co.uk
