VIDEO: City squad visits Sky Blues in the Community Walking Football!

First-team players visited range of community projects on Tuesday afternoon...

19 September 2017

Chris Stokes, Lee Burge, Liam Kelly and Peter Vincenti visited the Sky Blues in the Community Walking Football scheme as part of the squad's community visits on Tuesday afternoon.

The entire first-team squad visited various projects, with the Walking Football session at St Finbarrs Sport & Social Club on Holbrook Lane one of the destinations.

The players took part in small sided games with regulars, before taking part in a Q&A and then staying behind as the Walking Footballers showed off more of their skills.

Walking Football is a slow-paced version of the beautiful game for over 50s. It is designed to help people have an active lifestyle regardless of their age and ability, as well as get people back playing football. It’s a great way to keep fit, learn skills, have fun and socialise all at the same time.

Sky Blues in the Community now run three Walking Football sessions in Coventry & Warwickshire:

Mondays: 10:30am-12:00pm at St Finbarrs Sports & Social Club, 303 Holbrook Lane, Coventry, CV6 4DG

Tuesdays: 10:30am-12:00pm at The Oval, Coventry Rd, Bedworth, CV12 8NN

Thursdays: 10:30am-12:00pm at St Finbarrs Sports & Social Club, 303 Holbrook Lane, Coventry, CV6 4DG
