The Sky Blues' Development side defeated league leaders Ipswich Town after a late winner at the Higgs..
The result means Nicky Eaden's side leapfrogs their opponents to regain their place at the top of the Development league standings.
City went in front inside six minutes after a mistake from Ipswich 'keeper Harry Wright. Trying to play out from the back, Wright presented the ball to Jordan Ponticelli, who took one touch before calmly placing the ball into the net.
The Sky Blues continued on the front foot as Ponticelli went close to adding his second of the afternoon. It was good link-up play between the front pairing, as Kwame Thomas headed down, but the striker sliced his effort wide.
Ipswich began to grow into the contest and first called Addai into action midway through the first half. Adam Webster, returning from an injury lay-off, met a corner with a firm header but was denied by the City shot stopper.
After a double change at the break saw Ponticelli and Dion Kelly-Evans withdrawn, the away side began to take control of the contest and were level within minutes of the restart. Ben Morris' delivery was met by the head of Monty Patterson from close-range to restore parity.
City had Corey Addai to thank for keeping the scoreline level, as the 'keeper made numerous saves to deny the Tractor Boys in the second period. Ben Folami, a constant threat for the away side, tested Addai, before Dylan Crowe went close from a tight angle.
However, despite the away sides pressure it was the Sky Blues who earned all three points at the death. Thomas' dash to the byline and cut back found substitute Bilal Sayoud at the back post to score from close-range and hand Nicky Eaden's side the win.
