Coventry City will be attending the Coventry and Warwickshire Sports Awards 2017 at the Ricoh Arena this evening.
The Sky Blues will be strongly represented tonight, with nominations for:
- Jordan Ponticelli - Professional Young Sportsperson of the Year
- Coventry City Under 18’s - Team of the Year
Ponticelli and other members of the Under 18s will be attending tonight, along with Academy staff.
George Thomas, who left the club in the summer, is nominated for Professional Sportsman of the Year. Thomas is currently on international duty with Wales, and will be represented by Academy Manager Richard Stevens.
Meanwhile, Sky Blues legend and goalkeeping coach Steve Ogrizovic will be presenting an award, as will Sky Blues in the Community director and former player David Busst.
