Jack Grimmer has won the first League 2 PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award of the 2017/18 Season!
Coventry City’s ever-present defender Jack Grimmer, has been voted the PFA Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month for League 2.
In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, Grimmer (36.5%%) won what turned out to be a closely fought contest with Luton Town’s stopper Marek Stech (29.1%), both players leaving the other contenders trailing in their wake..
The voting was carried out via Snack’s digital and social network and covered both August and September. The vote was unique in the history of the Awards as it was the first time that the short list was made up entirely of Goalkeepers and Defenders.
The other contenders from the final short list polled as follows:
Christy Pym (Exeter City) – 9.8%
Mickey Dementriou (Newport County) – 8.9%
Adam Collin (Notts County) – 8.6%
Joe Jacobson (Wycombe Wanderers) – 7.1%
