COMMUNITY: SBitC Academy sides begin their 2017/18 campaign

10 October 2017

With the new academic year well underway, Sky Blues in the Community college academy teams have started their 2017/18 campaigns representing Coventry City Football Club in their respective Northern and Midland leagues.

The Coventry College team travelled away to Sunderland where they fought a good battle but unfortunately lost 4-0 to a strong side. Senior Coach, Andy Bryan, said: “The lads battled well but were beaten by a better team on the day. We go again next week and build on the progress we have made”.

The Warwickshire College team had a better result at home where they beat Berwick FC 3-1 with a hat trick for striker Dylan Parker. With a change of personnel, Sky Blues in the Community Senior Coach Anthony Charles comes in and is looking forward to working with the squad over the coming season.
