The ‘In it Together’ project is continuing to support women in Coventry and Warwickshire to get active!
Funded by Sport England and delivered by Sky Blues in the Community, the ‘In it Together’ project supports females in Coventry to get active through a variety of sessions. These sessions give women an opportunity to try out a range of fitness and sporting activities on a weekly basis.
In line with the national “This Girl Can” campaign, the sessions are about celebrating active women and provide female-only activities for local women to have fun and socialise whilst getting active together. The project has seen a number of different activities take place including Running, Zumba, Netball, Touch Rugby, Softball and many more!

New women-only running course starting this October!
Thanks to a partnership with ‘Run Like a Girl’, Sky Blues in the Community along with a number of committed volunteers, deliver women-only beginners running courses across the year, aiming to help local women work their way up to running for 30 mins over an 8-week course.
Kerry Coles, who has just completed the programme speaks of her success: “Week 1 I could barely run for 90 seconds, tonight I graduated as a runner and ran for 30 minutes continuously. I'm so proud of myself and my first ever medal!”
Kerry is just one of over 450 women who have completed the course, and caught the running bug! The next course starts on Monday 16th October 2017 at the War Memorial Park in Coventry 7:30-8:30pm (7:15pm meet) costing just £12 for the whole 8 weeks!
