UPDATE: Latest On Jodi Jones Injury

The winger sustained an injury against Stevenage earlier this week...

23 November 2017

We can confirm that following Tuesday night's clash with Stevenage, Jodi Jones has ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

The winger was involved in a clash midway through the second half at the Lamex Stadium and following scans, it shows that Jodi has ruptured his ACL.

Jones will now prepare for surgery in the coming weeks and then begin the rehabilitation process to recover from the setback in his career.

Upon hearing the news of injury, Manager Mark Robins had this to say:

He said: "It's bad news for Jodi as he has ruptured his ACL and it means the end of his season now due to the injury.

"It’s a blow for him as a young player as he has is a talented boy who is becoming a growing influence and someone who is great to work with, so it’s a setback for him in his young career.

"It’s going to be difficult for him to come to terms with the injury and the surgery which will follow and then how long he will be out and the rehabilitation that comes with it.

"But, he will come back stronger with the help of the medical team and the support of everyone at the club.”

Everyone here at Coventry City Football Club would like to wish Jodi a speedy recovery and good luck with his surgery and rehabilitation.
