Coventry City beat West Bromwich Albion at the Ricoh Arena last night - but failed to qualify from the Checkatrade Trophy group stages.

Walsall's victory against Shrewsbury in the group's other game meant that the Sky Blues victory did not amount to anything in the context of the group - but it did make it three wins on the bounce in all competitions for Mark Robins' side.

The Manager took the opportunity to give game time to several players, with Ben Stevenson and Max Biamou each taking the chance to score their first goals of the season.

The game was notable too as it marked the first time that the Kelly-Evans twins Dion and Devon both started a game at first-team level for the club.

Read the reaction to the result from Mark Robins here.

The Sky Blues are next in action on Saturday at the Ricoh Arena, when they face Mansfield Town in SkyBet League Two.
