Wales travel to Aubagne for a 18:30PM kick off against France this evening...
Wales Under-21s kick off their Toulon Tournament campaign against host nation France tonight, with both George Thomas and Cian Harries in contention to start.
The forward, who has represented Wales at both Under-17 and Under-19 level, is hoping his form towards the back-end of the season for the Sky Blues can benefit his national side this summer.
Speaking to the Welsh FA, George said: “That was a dream come true (scoring at Wembley) and the best day of my life.
“At the back end of last season, I did quite well, scored a few goals and played a lot of games.
“That was good for my development and hopefully I can bring that experience to the team both for Tuesday’s game and the rest of the tournament.
“I’ve been around senior players in the last few seasons with my club, so maybe I can be a bit of a leader myself while we are out here in France.”
He added: “I can’t wait to get started now. We’ve had a good week’s training, the weather is great, confidence is high and the tempo and quality in training has been good.”
