FA Cup hero Keith Houchen has a few words of wisdom for City's current crop ahead of their Wembley trip...

Coventry City’s FA Cup goalscoring legend, Keith Houchen has been speaking to the Coventry Observer this week, as the club prepares for its first Wembley final in 30 long years.

Houchen’s diving headed goal from 1987 remains among one of the most replayed goals in footballing history, and is one of the most celebrated here in the city of Coventry.

Giving some advice to the current squad as they embark upon their EFL Trophy final, Houchen said: “My advice would be just to put everything into it. I was totally spent at the end of that game. If the scores were reversed I could have lived with it.

“If it means going that extra yard, do it. Because it might make the difference between you winning that tackle, making that pass, scoring a goal, and Coventry winning the match.”
