INTERVIEW: The best of 'An Evening with Mark Robins' and the 2017/18 Kit Launch

An Evening with Mark Robins and the 17/18 Home and Away kit launch was held on Friday night at Warwick Arts Centre...

Around 300 supporters were in attendance to hear from Manager Mark Robins about how pre-season has gone so far, and put their own questions to him too.

Following the Q&A the new kits for the 2017/18 campaign were unveiled to supporters, with Lee Burge, Liam O'Brien, Chris Stokes, Peter Vincenti, Jordan Willis & Michael Doyle on hand to model the kits.

Here are some of the best quotes given by the Sky Blues manager...

On returning as Manager...

"I really did care for the club - To be given the opportunity to come back was fantastic as both me and Steve Taylor felt there was unfinished business."

That day at Wembley...

"Most importantly it was for all the supporters. It was a day all of the players and staff, including myself, will always remember.

"We wanted to put on a good performance, but also entertain all those who were in attendance. It was a tough game and there were certainly a few nervous moments towards the end, but a fantastic day overall."

The new signings...

"We've tried to bring in players with experience, particularly at this level of football. When I came in we put together a process to identify different players so we were prepared to move quickly once the season had ended.

"We've put together a really good group of people so far, who are working extremely hard to get the club back to where it deserves to be."

On League Two...

"The difference is we may be treated as a cup final to some clubs this season, it is a different stadium and a new team coming into the division.

"It will be a tough season, with some highs and lows throughout, but we have to make sure our quality shines through once the season gets underway."
