The Sky Blues stepped up their Pre-Season preparation with an impressive victory against League One side MK Dons at Liberty Way...
Marc McNulty scored twice, both from the penalty spot, as the Sky Blues secured their second win before the start of the 2017/18 campaign.
"We did okay on Tuesday but tonight was another step up. There has been some good work on the training ground, players have been receptive to everything and that translated to a performance tonight.
"We were really, really good throughout. From start to finish, whichever player was involved acquitted themselves very well, and that was pleasing to see.
"We brought in so many players and they've started to do it. Nobody is getting carried away, there will be ups and downs and we haven't even started the season yet."
With a total of nine new additions to the squad, Robins is delighted with the options at his disposal as the start of the League Two season nears.
"I think everybody is going to play their part and they know places are up for grabs, that is the right way to go about things.
"Everybody playing now is fighting for a place come Notts County, and players like Jordan Ponticelli, who came on and ran his socks off, intelligently as well, is right on the heels of those in the squad,"
He added: "That's exciting for me, the way Jordan Shipley has come back in is another positive and all the younger players really. There is genuine competition for places."
