Burnley loanee Dan Agyei scored a fantastic solo effort inside the opening 30 seconds to give the Sky Blues the lead. However it would only last a minute, as Marc Richards equalised almost instantly for the away side.
Jodi Jones restored the advantage for City, cutting onto his left foot and bending an effort into the corner. Ruben Lameiras wrapped up the three points halfway through the second-half, lobbing the ball fantastically over the visitors' 'keeper.
