Yesterday, Coventry City announced the signing of forward Charles Vernam on a half-season loan agreement with the Rams.

2013-Present: Derby County
2015-2016: Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja (ÍBV) (Loan)
Born in London, Vernam was signed by the Rams on an initial scholarship deal in 2013 from Scunthorpe United and signed a professional contract two years later.
The 23s leading marksman with ten goals this term, Vernam has progressed through the ranks at Derby, impressing at U18, U21 and this season U23s level. His early season form saw him rewarded with a place in the matchday squad for the Rams' Championship fixture against Norwich City in November.
The forward made his professional bow as a late substitute in the Rams’ Emirates FA Cup third round win over West Bromwich Albion in early Jan.
Last season the 20-year old spent a brief spell in Scandinavia, on loan at Icelandic Premier League side Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja (ÍBV). He made twelve appearances for the club before returning to the East Midlands in the summer.
Vernam agreed a new contract with his parent club in December, which will run until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
